Let's Help James Torraville!

Donation protected

Poor little guy! James was diagnosed with acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia two years ago on July 1, 2011. Immediately he was flown to BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver and started chemotherapy.

Though the treatment was tough, James still had amazing spirits and was full of life and smiles. On July 14, 2011 he was in remission and was cancer free!!!

For the next three years James experienced a life full of blood transfusions, playlet transfusions and plenty of chemotherapy. During this time James became a beautiful, amazing smart little boy. He was happy going to preschool, learning to ride a two wheeler, playing soccer and being the best big brother to his baby sister Grace.....While still kicking cancer's butt!

Come June 25, 2014, James was scheduled for a routine LP, the last one ever for his cancer battle. James and his family were very excited that the end of treatment was near and were looking forward to a normal life for James, one without pokes, hospital visits, excessive travel and chemotherapy. It was at this time that James was looking forward to Kindergarten and being a regular kid.

On Friday, June 27, 2014 the doctor calls with devastating news... They found cancer cells in his spinal fluid and James has relapsed.

This means that the next two years will be jam-packed with many more hospital visits and stays in Vancouver - sometimes for weeks at a time - with more intensive chemotherapy and radiation therapy. These visits come at a major expense and are not cheap.

James and his mom (Stefanie) will start their weekly stays in Vancouver in August 2014... In the meantime, they are spending as much time as they can at home together with their family. They are thankful for every message, prayer and words of encouragement for James.

This page has been created to help James through his next two years of chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Any donation is greatly appreciated. A trust fund for James has also been opened at the Hart Scotiabank (Account # 908600382787) and E-mail Money Transfers can be sent to [email redacted]

James and his family greatly appreciate any help the community of Prince George can provide.
