Dominic's Eagle Scout Project

Hi, my name is Dominic Tartaglia. I'm in 10th grade and I go to Stanton College Preparatory High School. I've been in Scouts BSA since February 25th 2021, and Troop 892 in Jacksonville, FL since August of 2021. I've always found time for service events throughout my time in Scouts BSA, whether it's a troop event, or a fellow Scout's Eagle Scout Project. But now I'm of rank where I need to carry out my own Eagle Scout Project. For my project, I'll be fixing up a butterfly garden on Naval Air Station Jacksonville with the housing company Balfour Beatty. Due to last winter's freeze, the majority of the vegetation at the garden has died off, I will be adding a variety of different freeze resistant, butterfly attracting, bushes and flowers to replace the ones that have died and a new layer of mulch. Along with the new vegetation, I will be adding a new bench to go with the two others that have been recently installed, as well as a plaque to recognize Troop 892 for the project. All of these additions will be used to make the garden a more welcoming place for the residents of NAS Jax. I appreciate your consideration of any donation to support our effort.
