Pop's Emma (Emma the Clydesdale)

Hello! My name is Michelle. I am a fourth year law student who will graduate in December 2016. I am an avd equestrian and horseowner. I am looking to raise funds for Emma, an 18 year old Clydesdale mare. 

Emma was owned by a wonderful man everyone called "Pops." Pops dreamed of owning a Clydesdale and Emma entered his life in 2001. I met Pops and Emma in 2002 and began horseshowing Emma for Pops in 2003. Over the last decade, we have won many ribbons for Pops at various horse shows. Pops rode Emma in parades and loved her dearly.

Pops was like a grandfather to me, and I became a part of his family. He knew how much loved and cared about his mighty mare, so he willed Emma to me. Sadly, Pops passed away on January 21, 2016. Emma entered my care on January 23. 

I am looking to raise $6,000 over the course of the year to help cover Emma's annual expenses. This breaks down to $500/month and includes board, feed, veterinary and farrier care, etc. I am looking to raise money throughout the year, although funds are needed as soon as possible. 

I knew that Emma would be mine one day, but I was hoping to have completed law school before that day came. I have enough capital saved to pay for one, possibly two months of care of Emma, in addition to my other horses. Please note that the funds raised will be used entirely for Emma; not my other ponies. 

Emma has been a part of my life for the last 13 years. Pops lived for her, and I want to keep Emma as a living tribute to the memory of Pops. She is in good health and good condition, but I want to give her the best life possible. Emma means so much to so many people. I hope you will help us by making a donation of any size.
