Becka's Battle

Becka Denney, daughter of Gayleen Denney (Duchesne, Utah), is a 20 year old young woman experiencing an unexpected battle. Becka is beautiful (inside and out), talented, service-oriented, and someone who sees the best in everyone and loves every person she meets. To know her is to love her.

Just before the holidays, Becka started having horrible back and leg pain. Many doctors tried to help her, and after over a month of seeking answers, she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. The cancer formed a tumor on a nerve bundle coming off her lower spine, and has now spread down the nerve track in her leg and into her abdomen. Unfortunately, there is no hope for a cure.

Becka has been in multiple hospitals, and is now at Huntsman Cancer Hospital, with excruciating nerve pain due to the cancer. The medical teams are working hard to control her pain so she might be able to choose a few experiences to fulfill with her loved ones before departing from this life.

Becka's mom, Gayleen Denney, is a single mother who has raised two amazing daughters. Gayleen is a giver, and has devoted years of her life to the field of nursing. Now it's our turn to give back. Gayleen is not able to work at this time, as her number one priority is caring for her daughter. Medical bills are piling up. Let's help ease some financial burden for this sweet family so they may spend every precious moment together.
