Shelby is a very special young woman and is now fighting for her life for the third time. She was born with a heart disorder called restrictive cardiomyopathy. She waited for months but finally received a heart transplant at 10 years old. At 20 years old while attending school she was diagnosed with a rare form of lymphoma cancer only at the time seen in 12 people around the world. Now 2 days after her 26th birthday she was again diagnosed with cancer and is in desperate need of Chemo and Bone Marrow transplants.
We believe Shelby is a miracle, overcoming every obstacle that has been thrown her way. She is not done fighting but she needs our help! I am hoping to help ease her financial burden with the help of all of you. Please help my friend and her family through this difficult time.
About Shelby:
Shelby is a once in a lifetime of person. Despite what she has gone through she always looks at the bright side of things. No matter what is going on in her day she will always look to help those she loves before herself. Her drive and compassion lead her down the path of PA School. She frequented hospitals so often as a child that she was touched by the love of the doctors and nurses that surrounded her. She idolized those values and knew exactly what she wanted to do. In May 2019 she achieved her goal of graduating the top of her class at NYU. Please help me support my best friend on her road to recovery so she can continue accomplishing her goal of being a Pediatric PA. I can assure you that the hospitals benefit from employees like Shelby who are so dedicated to the health and happiness of her patients. She is a truly remarkable person, and I know her journey to recovery will be no different. Thank you for keeping her in your thoughts, and for contributing what you can to help her with this next phase of her life.
