Bye bye, Adam's eye
Donation protected
April 3rd, I had my left eye removed. I suffered a retinal detachment ten years ago and have been fighting to save my vision through multiple failed surgeries. I had recently become completely blind in my left eye, as the optic nerve was now dead and was causing excruciating pain. Removal was my only option left. Surgery came with some complications (heavy bleeding , high blood pressure, low oxygen) that have kept myself and my wife out of work. Unpaid time off, daycare expenses, doctor appointments, medications, and incoming medical bills have made a tough situation a bit more than we can handle alone. Additionally, I still have to be fitted for and buy a prosthetic to cover the literal bouncy ball placeholder that's currently in my eye socket, and my insurance does not cover this. Any help is more than appreciated and if you're unable to help monetarily, prayers and well wishes are also welcome.
