Bye Bye Beard - Wildlife Rescue Fundraiser
Yes, the beard WILL come off!
What can you do to make it happen?
Well, as you all are probably aware, Australia is burning. Australia has been burning for months and it is going to burn for months to come. People are dying, animals are being wiped out, homes and properties are beyond recognition , livelihoods are changed forever. I feel pretty useless being all the way over here in Canada whilst my family (my Mother, Sister, niece and nephew are from Merimbula, NSW - check it out, it’s a beautiful place) and friends are surrounded by this unfathomable beast, so I’ve decided I want to help in the only way I know I can raise the most money.
The beard is coming off!
I am hoping to raise $1000 by the 25th. If I do, on the 26th of January, which also coincides as Australia Day, I will be shaving my beard off. I’ve had this face hugger on here for 7 years so it’s been a while since my cheeks have felt the icy Canadian breeze. My request is that you donate as much or as little as you can to my Go Fund Me page and hopefully I can reach my goal. After all the donations have come in I will be sending all money raised to Wildlife Rescue (www.wires.org.au) for their emergency fund in Australia. They have been doing an amazing job at helping all these poor creatures recover from some pretty horrific injuries. As you have probably read, more that 1/2 a billion animals have been lost and even more have been badly injured during these life changing fires. They have no homes to go back to and nothing to eat. Donating will help lessen the impact and help get some of these animals back on the road to recovery.
So please, throw a little loose change my way and you’ll be helping rebuild Australia. Seeing my clean shaven face is just a bonus!
