bye bye boobies: donate to fran’s top surgery
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Fran and I’m a 25 year old non-binary events manager living in Cornwall, UK.
I use they/them pronouns and have made this page in order to fundraise for my top surgery.
(If you’d like to learn more about what non-binary means, I’ve created a free resource online which you can access here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1eVM5ssgEqPEPqhQ-Ts5F8Ng5GvzUqXGm/view?usp=drivesdk)
In my own experience as a non-binary person my boobs cause me a lot of gender dysphoria, leading to low feelings and contributing to my depression. I use a binder to compress my boobies which makes me feel a lot happier and more confident in myself, but unfortunately prolonged use of it is causing pain in my ribs and it’s not a sustainable solution.
I’m not seeking this treatment through the NHS due to a painfully long waiting list and my continued experience of being misgendered when engaging with their services. I’m disabled and not fit to work and so I’m unable to pay for this myself.
I’m therefore fundraising for my treatment through selling artwork (https://etsy.me/3FW4a4Q), holding fundraising events, and asking for compassion and generosity from you.
The amount I’m fundraising for covers the following costs:
- initial consultation: £200
- follow-up consultation: £100
- double incision top surgery: £6,900
- Total: £7,200
Having top surgery will finally enable me to be in a body that feels like it’s mine. I really hope you are able to donate, and please share this post if you can.
