Help Samantha Fight Her Battle
If you know Samantha Matlock you know she lights up every room she walks into. Always has. We have recently gotten some news that is going to take a community of support and love to defeat. Samantha was diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma, a lung cancer. She doesn’t smoke cigarettes and ironically enough they can’t find tumors in her lungs. It is in other places. We will NOT accept the doctors projections, as this is not a cancer facility and we won’t give up. I imagine you would want to do the same if this was your wife. I am signing her out against medical advice and I am doing everything in my power to get her to MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. The best cancer facility in the country. She’s always been a Texas girl at heart. I love that about her.
Last week she had shortness of breath and went into the Lodi, CA ER where they discovered a pleural effusion and pericardial effusion, leading to this discovery. It is breaking my heart to see her in this situation. It’s been a roller coaster of emotions and different opinions. The fact that people are disagreeing on whether or not we have a chance is enough of a reason to fight and say “so you’re saying there’s a chance”.
We are probably two of the most stubborn people you’ll meet when it comes to asking for help but we have no other options at this point. It’s either double down or bust, and we are choosing to fight.
I’m asking for your assistance to help us get through this unforeseen situation.
Thank you in advance for your support!
Peter Matlock
