BYK-ALTANA Charity walk 2023

We are a team of 17 who are planning to undertake a 3 day walk across Dales Way. The team all work for BYK Additives in Widnes and we are wanting to raise as much money as possible for local charities.

We have selected Lee Cooper Foundation and Local Widnes Foodbank and Energy Projects and have set the healthy target of £10000 as our target split between the three beneficiaries. You can find out more about the charities we are supporting below:

https://theleecooperfoundation.co.uk/ - Providing mental health support to young people age 11-24 in Knowsley through 1-1 support, group support, workshops and more. They rely on funding and donations to ensure that young people have access to free mental health support.

https://widnesfoodbank.org.uk/ - Widnes Foodbank is part of The Trussell Trust's UK-wide network of over 400 foodbanks. They provide emergency food parcels to local people facing a short-term crisis.

https://www.epplus.org.uk/ - Energy Projects plus is an independent social enterprise and registered environmental charity that has been in operation since 1995. The aim is to empower members of the community to take action on reducing their own energy bills by providing information and support on how to be energy efficient.

Our vision is to reduce levels of fuel poverty in the Cheshire and Merseyside area and promote warmer homes nationwide.
