Byrd Family Funerals
The Byrd Family of Folkston, Georgia has lost three immediate family members in a very short period of time. Beverly Ann Phillips Byrd and her two children, Christina Johnson and James Byrd III (Jamie or Junior) have all passed away since 2015 of different causes. Jamie died most recently on October 30, 2016. Beverly's husband, Jim Byrd, also father of the two deceased children, has been diagnosed with cancer, so his ability to pay for final expenses has been limited.
The family has struggled to pay final expenses for each of these losses over the past year and a half with a small bank loan and help from family and friends. The two remaining children would like to repay the bank loan and purchase modest headstones for our mother and siblings. It would mean a lot to get headstones for them while our father is still living. It hurts us all to see the three unmarked graves.
