In Loving Memory of Robert “Bobby” Frias
On Friday October 18th, Robert “Bobby” Frias walked into the Emergency Room with excruciating back pain. After several tests were ran, the doctors delivered the tragic news to Bobby and his family that they found tumors in his stomach, liver and kidneys. More tests revealed that the cancer had also spread to his bones and lungs. This cancer was extremely aggressive and with no other choices available, they sent Bobby home on hospice to rest comfortably until he passed.
Twenty-eight days later, on Friday November 15th @ 6:19am, Bobby passed away. His wife Sylvia and his children, Bobby, Yvette, Marlene and Ivana, surrounded him along with other loved ones. For those who know Bobby, they know he was ‘full of life’. The family is still in shock over this horrible death. Everyone is wondering how and why this could have happened with no warning.
While Bobby was on hospice, he had family around him 24 hours a day. He missed out on seeing a lot of family members and good friends. He put off some visits with the hope of feeling better the next day. He touched so many people’s lives and for those who didn’t get to say good-bye, we are deeply sorry; there just wasn’t enough time.
Bobby died with dignity and courage. His faith in the Lord helped keep him strong. He continued to stay strong for his family and showed all of us around him the true meaning of bravery. Bobby was a happy person and lived life to the fullest. He will forever be remembered for his smile and his infamous Ray-Ban sunglasses.
Bobby’s ashes will be buried at Mt View Cemetery in San Bernardino, next to his mom and dad. Donations are being collected to help his children pay for the funeral services.
