January 50 mile run

Hi, I'm Haydn. In June 2019 my wife, Laura, was taken to St Wilfrids Hospice for end of life care. Laura died on 13th June 2019 from Triple Negative Breast Cancer that had metastasised to her liver. The care from all the staff at St Wilfrids, through this time, was second to none! They were phenomenal!!

Since Laura passed I have received incredible follow up care, from counselling to general catching up with staff who have become friends. I can't do enough for this amazing place and the fantastic staff.

So, my crazy idea....I want to run 50 miles over January. I fell in love with running after Laura died and would use it to help my mental state. Now it's more for fun.
50 miles or 80.5km over 31 days...that's 16.1 5Ks or 8 and a bit 10Ks.

I will be running this along with a few others, who have their own reason for taking part.  I dedicate my runs to the loving memory of my wife Laura and my dear friend Dave Cox, both are missed everyday.

Please donate if you can, even the smallest amount would be amazing!
