Help SmartGlamour Continue To Grow

SmartGlamour is a clothing line of handmade, affordable, and customizable garments for every woman. We promote body positivity and overall wellness for women by educating women on their measurements and bodies. We feel that women can use their knowledge to become empowered, accept their bodies as they are, and learn to love themselves.



We are coming up on our 6 month mark after our launch event in February. In that short time, we have created our collection, added on pieces for a new season, shot two look books, hosted one runway show and event, shot multiple promotional shoots, and been interviewed, featured, and reviewed by multiple online magazines, blogs, and bloggers.



Completely self and crowd funded, SmartGlamour is owned and run (and all of the clothes are made) by designer Mallorie Carrington - with help managing email communication and organizing bookkeeping from one amazing friend who believes strongly in her message. We would not be able to achieve any of the success we have had so far without the love and support from family, friends, and strangers alike.



With the fall season coming up - we find ourselves needing to reach out once again to hopefully crowd fund some of our newest upcoming projects. With your help - we will be able to continue spreading our message of body positivity and empowerment for all women.



Our monetary goal will cover a number of important items and supplies: the most important being fabric for our fall collection. The fall collection will be shot at the end of August - and then shown during a NYFW runway show at the beginning of September which will be the culmination of an upcoming educational campaign entitled Measure Me Beautiful. Secondly - it will cover the purchase of a third adjustable dress form. Being able to dress a multiple of women's body types and sizes is the core goal of SmartGlamour. Currently - Mallorie creates her pieces on a small size dress form and a plus size dress form, both of which are adjustable. Unfortunately - as like most things in our closed minded society with unrealistic beauty standards - the plus size form does not go past a size 1X. We currently offer up to a size 3X (and beyond if customers choose to customize) and to even create our 2X and 3X sizes, we have to pad our dress form - which isn't ideal. We'd love to purchase the next size up adjustable dress form - which extends to a 4X and would allow us to offer up to a 6X, with no customizations necessary (although they will of course still be available.)

We would also love to be able to better serve our future maternity clients by purchasing a faux belly pad for our dress forms. Again - we currently pad our dress forms and/or use flat patternmaking techniques in order to create custom maternity pieces. A belly pad would greatly improve our ability to tailor our collection appropriately for pregnant women of any size.

And finally - in an attempt to keep up with the fast paced world of social media - we are constantly creating new content to share with our followers, educate women, and garner traffic to our website. Very often - in order to create this content - we have to reach out to friends and loved ones to borrow camera equipment. We would love to purchase our very own DSLR camera and everyday-use lense to improve upon the quality of our content - and increase the speed with which we can create it.
