Eric Dickey Gioblastoma Treatment Fund!

Between Thanksgiving and Christmas the Eric & Dawnelle Dickey family received the devastating news that Eric has a multiform level 4 Gioblastoma tumor. While this is the most recent medical trauma for their family, it is by no means the only.
● Eric began to have swelling from his knees to his ankles, requiring two weeks of bedrest.
● That year he developed Double Bells Palsy (which is super rare)
● While working to recover from the Bells Palsy, Eric then had three separate hernias (one umbilical and two groin) requiring surgery and healing time.
● July of 2021 Dawnelle's father passes away from heart disease.
● After MONTHS of therapy, doctor appointments, etc. Eric is medically cleared to return to work.
● On Eric's 2nd day back to work he fell off a ladder while working on an elementary school air system and broke his left femur.
● August of 2022, Dawnelle's mother passed away after a heartbreaking battle with dementia-type brain disease.
● After months of hospital stays, physical therapy, and doctor appointments, Eric is cleared back to work Mid-September of 2022.
● In November/December 2022 Dawnelle and Eric noticed his Bells Palsy symptoms seemed to be resurfacing.
● On December 10th 2022 Eric was diagnosed with an aneurysm which prompted a surgical procedure to be performed.
● As part of the aneurysm diagnosis and care the hospital performed tests/scans which (shockingly) showed a mass in Eric's brain.
● An MRI confirmed Eric has a glioblastoma multiform level 4 tumor. The tumors type and placement make it inoperable and without chance of survival.
● January 2023 Eric will begin cancer treatments (5 chemo doses per cycle = $1100, he will have 30 radiation appointments as well as chemo for 6 weeks- anticipating 42 chemo doses) to hopefully extend his time and improve the quality of his days.
Over the course of all these medical events Eric has been off work (unpaid for the most part) for almost 12 of the past 18 months. Dawnelle has had to adjust her work hours, adding more stress to an already difficult time. When Eric has been able to get back to work the first several months he doesn't bring in any income due to back-pay of insurance premiums from when he's been off due to these issues.
If you can donate, any amount will help with their current and upcoming medical expenses. If you can't donate, please share. We appreciate your willingness to allow the Dickey family to put their focus on making the most of the time they'll be blessed with.
THANK YOU! ❤️
