Team Brittny

You all were terrific in helping Brittny over the last year and a half as she battled Breast Cancer. You helped her raise a generous amout of money to pay medical bills, help with family meals, and alleviate the financial burden that she would face during her journey. Unfortunately, as many of you have learned, Brittny was diagnosed with two cancerous tumors in her brain. She is starting radiation today and will undergo three radiation treatments in the next week. The hope is that those treatments will completely shrink the tumors, so she doesn't need surgery. Unfortunately, because there are two tumors, and one of them is larger than the other one, there is a chance she will have to have surgery to remove the tumor after radiation. Whether there is surgery or no surgery, Brittny has a long road ahead.  Because the cancer started in the breast and lymph nodes and has now traveled to brain, it is considered stage 4 metastatic cancer and most likely will be chronic.  Although we don't know what that means exactly in Brittny's specific case, we are praying there are many happy healthy years to come.  Brittny is taking the next four weeks off of work to be with her family, get a second medical opinion, figure out what side effects she might have from the radiation, and focus on healing. Many of you have reached out because you have wanted a way that you could help her and her kids. I have decided to open up another Go Fund Me account so that you could help her family during this time! She truly is an amazing woman and one of the strongest fighters I know.
