Grandma needs help

This is my Grandma Norma. She was an amazing Mom, the best Grandma, and a Schoolteacher

for 30 years. She survived breast cancer and buried 2 Husbands. Over the last several years we started

noticing her becoming more and more forgetful. So, we changed things. My dad moved in to take care of

her but in 2019 he had a Stroke and could no longer be a caregiver as he needed one himself. So, we

changed things again, taking turns staying with her and hiring outside staff to help when the family

couldn’t be there. This worked for a while until dementia and her other health concerns got to be too

much.

In 2021 we had to make the hardest decision ever, to put my grandma in a nursing home. Since

then, due to numerous factors including rising costs, government idiocy and some family

misunderstandings we currently owe the nursing home close to $100,000. We have about a month until

we will have to remove her from her current home if we can’t figure something out. We really need

some help right now while we deal with Medicaid and the court system to keep Grandma where she

needs to be, getting the care she deserves and living the last days of her life safe and comfortable.
