Funeral expenses for Trace Pillars

Donation protected
Trace Pillars passed away suddenly and tragically late Wednesday night. He was an amazing son, brother, friend and confidant.

We will all remember him for his quick wit, intelligence, and friendliness. Trace effortlessly transitioned from deep conversations about any of the many things that interested him to making everybody around him cry with laughter at his utter hilarity. Those that knew him best swore he was the funniest person they had ever met.

He endlessly researched and talked about math, computer science, chemistry, video games, politics, and so many other topics. Without effort, he recalled countless facts and opinions and could talk to anybody about them. Personality traits like this enabled him to make many friends who are as different from one another as his areas were wide-ranging.

He was a transcendent programmer and thinker of original thoughts. Time and time again, he marvelled just about everybody with his intelligence, and he did it without skipping a beat.

He was the most impressive person I know and the pride I take in being so close to him so close to him still makes me smile.

From June of 2000 through Wednesday night, it was rare that I went more than 24 hours without talking to Trace. He was my best friend. I loved him like my brother and I will miss him for the rest of my life.
