Kim's Celebration of Life
Donation protected
My mother Kimberly Alyce Pernich was diagnosed with glioblastoma brain cancer on February 9, 2019. That same day she went into operation and was able to get all of the 3.5cm lesion removed. Although they were able to remove all of the tumor, it left her to be completely flaccid (paralyzed) on her entire left side. There were so many different trials and complications throughout the way which left her in the hospital for 2 months before she could go home and start radiation and chemotherapy. She conquered every obstacle thrown in her way through speech, physical, and occupational therapy and would continuously prove doctors wrong. They thought she may never use her left side again, but she gained strength and started to be able to walk with assistance. Unfortunately, it wasn't the brain cancer that eventually ended her life. Even though she was doing so well at home, out of nowhere she had a severe stroke that left her completely bedridden and unable to move or speak, somewhere around the end of June. There was nothing that could have been done to continue her life here with us. As of July 4th, 2019 she left us. She left us that morning around 8:30am with her daughter and her sister in the comfort of their home. She now is at peace with her mother, father, and other loved ones waiting in heaven. This day will always be a day to be remembered, not only for the freedom of our country, but the freedom of my mothers life.
So many of you know the love and light that this woman brought to this earth. As soon as you would meet her you would instantly love her. She was the type of woman you could count on regardless of the situation, always thinking of others before herself. She was a church woman who always said, "God won't give me anything I can't handle". And every Thursday she would get up bright and early to help feed those in need. Continuously spreading her light through joy and laughter even throughout the hardest of times. She walked this earth with strength and resilience , for there was nothing that could bring down her faith.
Kim Pernich was truly an angel that walked among us that has now earned her rightful wings to watch from above. In honor of this beautiful woman who has given so much of herself to the world and to others, I would like to ask for a donation to help us celebrate her life rightfully. A soul so giving and so kind should only receive the best celebration of life party anyone could ask for. Usually our family would not ask others for help, but due to circumstances we are not financially capable of preparing what we envision.
Thank you so much for all of your love, support, and prayers throughout the way. I know she loved each and every one of you.
