Police Officer Douglas Dickerson's Children

The friends, colleagues, and family are mourning the death of Officer Douglas Dickerson, age 39, who passed away on October 8th 2020.  He was a career law enforcement officer, having served honorably with the U.S. Capitol Police and the Charleston, SC Police Department for many years.  Doug was a highly regarded police officer, a father of two, a son, a brother and a friend.

Doug’s untimely death leaves behind his young children: a three year old son and a one year old daughter. Doug’s family and friends created this GoFundMe account in order to assist with the financial support of his children.

All funds raised will go directly to a trust account set up to provide his children with college tuition/education when they turn 18 years old.   

Doug will be missed greatly by his fellow coworkers, his family, his friends and especially his young children, who will grow up without the love, support and physical presence of their father. It is our hope that those who knew Doug, as well as those who support our law enforcement officers, will make a memorial donation in his honor.  Our heartfelt thanks are extended to anyone interested in making a donation.
