Matthew Caquelin Funeral Expenses
My name is Geoffrey Caquelin and I am the proud Uncle of my nephew, Matthew Caquelin. A little over a year ago, Matthew moved to Sacramento, CA, trying to get a fresh start in his life. He was currently working at a Starbucks, renting a shared residence and was dating. He has been great for keeping the family up to date with events in his life. Matthew was a good hearted young man.
On Tuesday, his Father, Paul Caquelin, and I were on our way to Tennessee to see our Father for the Thanksgiving holiday. Matthew called and talked to his Dad a couple of times while we were in route. Wednesday came and my brother didn't hear from Matthew, who usually called his dad daily to keep up. On Thanksgiving day, we were preparing to go out to dinner when my brother received a call from his ex-wife, Tammy, stating that the police has just been to her home and notified her that Matthew had been murdered. This is the worst thing any parent or family can hear anytime, let alone on a holiday. The burden is even more extreme for Matthew's Mother, Tammy and his sister, Jenna, who just lost their Mother/Grandmother less than two weeks ago.
At this point, there doesn't appear to be any arrests. There may be a person or persons of interest, but nothing is for sure. Both sides of the family are not only in grief, but weren't prepared and just don't have adequate funds for a funeral. Our family is mostly in the Missouri/Kansas area and having this happen in California is another hurdle trying to deal with all the factors involved. Our family has a difficult time asking for help, but any and all help that anyone can provide would really be appreciated. The money would strickly be used for funeral services required in California, transportation back to Kansas/Missouri, and final arrangements here at home. If no arrests are made soon, we would also like to be able to offer a a reward to aid in the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for this heinous act.
If you are able to help our family at this time, I can't thank you enough for your kindness!! Thank you very much and may God bless you and your family!
I would ask, for your prayers for Paul, Tammy, Jenna and the extended family.
Thank you again!
