I have been totally blind since birth, therefore I use a screen reader for my computer. JAWS is my preference, but right now my lap top is wearing out and I need a newer version of JAWS. The lap top I currently have is one my friend had that she didn't need when she got her new one, but it has issues and doesn't work well with JAWS anymore. I use my computer every day for both work and pleasure, so I am feeling at loss right now due to the frustration of not being able to work efficiently, or keep in contact with others as easily as I need to. As one of the volunteers for Dawn of Hope Ministry, Inc. [ a 501(c)3 non-profit organization] I work daily on my computer to learn music and maintain the web site and facebook contacts.
