100KM Run for Mental Health

I’ll be running a 100km course this Fall (2020) for Mental Health Awareness.

GOAL: $5,000 by November 30, 2020! As we hit the original goal of $1,500 by October 1, 2020! AND The $3,000 by October 31, 2020!

2020 has been…"A Year". For many.

For myself, it has been one of the most challenging years of my life.

Going through a traumatic car accident, losing a friend to suicide, and being tested to the next level in multiple areas of life, reminded me once again about the utter importance of Mental Health...I know I am not the only one that has whispered to themselves more than once ”Just keep swimming.”

The significance of mental health in our daily lives is often overlooked.  As Glenn Close has said, “What mental health needs is more sunlight, more candor, and more unashamed conversation.

Through testing times, acknowledge the struggle, get support, set a goal, then start heading in that direction…step-by-step.

I learned pretty early in life if you don’t like the way something is…do something about it.

Which leads me to this initiative here: I’ll be running 100km from Kelowna to Vernon, BC and back to raise money for the organization I believe is doing great work to bring more attention and resources to mental health.

All the money raised for this run will be going to the Canadian Mental Health Association.

Whether you've been affected directly or indirectly this year by the vast changes - know you are not alone and there is lots of support out there, the great organization above being one of them.

If you can support, I would greatly appreciate it as this is near and dear to my heart and many others! <3

The Canadian Mental Health Association is dedicated to the promotion of mental health of all. No matter how old or how young, we provide support for families and individuals through programs that promote positive mental health and support recovery, while championing the elimination of barriers that can prevent people from thriving.

Running course will be 105km from Kelowna, BC to Vernon, BC. and back November 2020.  #impressyourself
