Michael’s Journey Home

My name is Mindy Englett. I am the Superintendent at a very tiny school in Avant Oklahoma. Michael is a student who came to us this year, as well as his twin brother James. We instantly loved the two boys, and they loved us right back. Michael and his family are currently at St. Jude’s receiving treatment for what the doctors say is a terminal diagnosis of a rare form of brain cancer. I am reaching out because the family is under a great hardship. They wanted to complete renovations on a home but are currently living in a small travel trailer. We would love to be able to provide the supplies and workers to get those renovations not only complete, but more than they could have imagined. These two boys deserve to be in a home together for the remainder of time they have left on Earth together. Michael’s secondary wish to Make-A-Wish was a Minecraft party for all of his school friends and to get to return to this little school in Avant that he and I both love. My plan is to use funds first for the home and then to give him that party. If you cannot give at this time, please pray. Pray for not only him but his parents and siblings who are also hurting.
