Welsh 3000
Over the weekend, a team of 4 of us from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service completed the Welsh 3000s, this event consist of visiting every 3000ft summit within snowdonia national park within a 24 hours period without the use of any vehiclur transport between the summits and or 3 mountain ranges. We done in aid of raising money for The Firefighters Charity.
We completed the challenge on;
Foel Fras @ 2155
Therefore having a summit to summit completion time of 15hrs 20mins
Then finish at car @ 2345 ! ❗️ Giving us a car to car time of 18 hrs 30min.
Over the course of the day event we covered around 33 miles and about 13,000 ft of ascent. n the route Crib Goch and prior the event starting.
