In loving memory of Justin Ferar

It is great sadness that we have lost our sweet Justin, a beloved father, husband, brother, son and dear friend to many.

Justin battled colon cancer for five years with great courage and strength with his fantastic wife Georgina and their two girls, Vivian (10 years) and Valentina (4 years), by his side. After numerous surgeries, emergency visits, treatments and extensions to continue his fight, his cancer took over, and his life here on earth ended. Justin passed away on October 11, 2022. We are heartbroken.

As many of you know, Justin and Georgina graced many with their talents from Weddings on Film and Ferar Media, capturing special moments of so many lives in their films. As small business owners, they endured the difficulties of his illness and COVID on top of it all. Both of which were extremely challenging financially.

To be able to pay for Justin’s medical bills, they had to use all their savings, sell their beautiful home in San Anselmo, CA and downsize to a small apartment. As the disease continued, they decreased their living expenses even more. They decided to move out of state to Kansas City to lower their cost of living. Finally, to survive financially, they had to take out Justin’s life insurance early. As more surgeries were needed, they canceled many weddings and issued refunds to their clients so that Georgina could care for Justin and tend to the girls.

Looking towards the future is very daunting for Georgina, especially financially, to ensure that the girls are well taken care of. Justin and Georgina were married for 22 years and were a fantastic team supporting one another. With no savings or much left of life insurance Georgina and the girls are left very vulnerable to cover all their expenses.

Every dollar gifted in Justin’s honor will help Georgina and the girls on their healing journey, pay for therapies and counseling, end-of-life costs, mortgage payments and remaining medical bills.
