Going Back & Finding Home

Hi my name is Dereck Rivera. For those who may or may not know me, I've been a content creator for almost three years. My life has changed drastically since covid after losing my full time back in 2020. I've had to find different ways to generate income to support my family and basically just learn to live. I've been very thankful to have a supportive community on Patreon where my music reactions on my Youtube channel allow me to express how I feel about music and allow me to be free of who I am. What you see there is my authentic, transparent self.

Much has changed over this year getting a new job, losing jobs, and even making the most difficult of situations and parting ways with my partner of over nine years. Yes I've been emotionally broken, stressed, depressed, and full of anxiety. It's hard to be in front of a camera every day and not shed light on this, trying to mask away the pain. Most people would say, "you've hit rock bottom!." I see it. Differently, I see it as a new beginning. Yes, it's going to be hard, and I have to start over. I'm making the ultimate sacrifice of moving away to start a new job and embark on a new career as I move from coast to coast.

If you have followed me, you know how much I love what I do. I've concluded I need to take a step back and re-prioritize my life. In doing so, I humbly ask for support in my travels (rent, food, gas, travel) which will help me establish some footing; until I start over in the coming new year. I would like you to join me on this journey; I will be forever greatful and share my progress as I move, and share my new beginnings with you.
