One of our closest friend’s child, Max Bowling, is a fighter through and through. Sunday, Max was racing in the Virginia State Championship at Birch Creek MX. In the 2nd moto of Schoolboy 2 he was involved in a gnarly crash and suffered a traumatic brain injury (among other injuries). He was life flighted to Roanoke where he is in ICU receiving treatment for his injuries.
The Bowling’s want to make sure to acknowledge the sportsmanship and selfless actions of Max’s competitors who stopped their race and shielded Max with their bikes and bodies to protect him from further injury. This level of awareness and courage are the actions of a Hero. A sincere “Thank You “ goes out to those amazing young men.
The primary focus with Max right now is on the brain injury. He is showing continuous signs of improvement but he and his family still have a long road ahead towards recovery.
The Bowling family is beyond thankful and touched by the outpour of support and concern for Max and apologize for not being able to get back to everyone. What a truly amazing community we are blessed to be a part of.
We ask that you please pray for Max’s healing and ask that you pray for the entire Bowling Family as they navigate this challenging journey ahead.
