Greek Week 2016 - Nash Strong

Donation protected
As you probably know I am a member of a Sigma Sigma Sigma here at CMU. I was recently elected to officer board as Education Director. This is a position that I love because I am able to help my sisters become more successful students, after all that is why we are in school. I am writing this because starting this Sunday (April 10th) we begin to officially raise money for Greek Week. What is Greek Week you ask? This is a week were all of CMU’s Greek community comes together to raise money for one charity. This year the charity means more to our campus than ever before.  Derrick Nash was a CMU football player and student who passed away in June 2015 after losing his battle to cancer. Not only was an inspiration to his team and a huge presence on campus, he was also one of my sorority sisters best friend. The Nash Strong Foundation is a non-profit organization that aims to help the financial needs of families with acute or chronically ill children. I have set a personal goal to raise $500. If you can help in anyway myself, my sorority, my campus, and Derrick’s family would be grateful for any donation.  Thank you for spending the time to read through this and if you know anyone that could apply for this grant please click on the link below.
