Cabading Family — Lahaina Wildfire Relief

This is my family ♡

What started as hurricane winds QUICKLY turned into a brush fire. My family and I got separated during this time as we all left at different times & in different cars. My uncle, younger brother & I got stuck in traffic at Front street where mulptiple fires started surrounding us. many people started to leave their cars & so did we. The 3 of us had to jump over the brick wall & down to/into the waters while sitting on rocks for over 6 hours. along with that, we were carrying and holding our 2 dogs. We have a few minor burns from flying embers, and luckily nothing too serious. Unfortunately, like many other Lahaina residents, my family & I lost our house and all our belongings. Thank lord my family and I found each other and are all safe. im sure many of us feel devastated as this is a very traumatic moments.

Lahaina is a place that i grew up in—went to school & finished hs at. it is hard for my head to wrap around what has happened. any amount; anything will be good enough for us.
