Joe Cabral Memorial Fund

Joey Cabral, a.k.a. Smokin Joe, passed away on 4/16/18 after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver. His daughter, Rose Cabral, last saw him the day before and reported that he was doing well. They went to church together and Rose said he was optimistic, hopeful and excited about the summer. Joey had walked to a nearby Target to buy the things he loved best, a radio and snacks, and was walking back to a camp set up to lay under a fig tree to watch the stars. Joey is remembered for the many adventures he undertook throughout the years and still had so many adventures planned. He will be missed for the handpicked flower bouquets he collected "just because", his soft blue eyes, his harmonica tunes, and his big heart.
Joey loved to help others so the family is focusing on ways to honor him in those ways. Funds collected on this page will be forwarded to his daughter for the memorial expenses.
