Cabrera Family Medical Funds

Hi! My name is Makenzie and I am a mother of two medically complex children.

Jayse is 4 years old with a blood coagulation defect disorder, Autism, and a heart murmur.

Josiah is our miracle baby. He is 2 and has a rare disease called Familial Cold Autoinflammatory Syndrome which effects less in 400 people worldwide. He also has Autism, global developmental delay, PICA, and many other health problems due to FCAS.

Living in NY - insurance isnt the greatest and not many things are covered with insurance.

With the help of Childrens Miracle Network they got us a medical wagon for the kids but we still are in need of many medical necessities for Josiah & Jayse (i.e sleep safe bed, new camera system, training his therapy dog to a service dog, aqua therapy for Josiah’s arthritis, and even to stay afloat since we travel all over the US.) We recently found Josiah’s founder of FCAS and we have plans to travel to San Diego California in Oct/Nov 2023 for more treatment plans and to meet him to give Josiah more benefits of living a normal life. This is all out of pocket.

With your help, the burden will be lighten for our family.

Julious works hard to keep bills paid, and I am a full time Nursing student and caregiver to the kids so it tends to be stressful to worry about insurance denials, traveling, bills, and work.
