“Hi, my name is Wendy. I am a close family friend of Caesar Romero. Paula, Caesar’s wife of 30 years has just lost the love of her life. Ricky and wife Abby, have just lost his father. Caesar had Renal (kidney) cancer that spread to his spine, creating multiple tumors. But, Caesar was a fighter!! Over the past 10+ years, Caesar has undergone more than any one person should ever have to endure. Caesar’s journey started with multiple surgeries, radiation and chemotherapy. He eventually started participating in experimental medical treatments. The fight continued! Caesar and Paula suffered in silence, fighting together; appointment after appointment, scan after scan, radiation after radiation, multiple surgeries until that was no longer an option, and lastly many different kinds of chemotherapy attempts to keep the cancer from spreading. All this spanning over a decade! Can you imagine how tough both Caesar and Paula both had to be? And always finding the positive to focus on!

Caesar is a Veteran, Father, Husband, Brother, Uncle and Friend. Paula couldn’t work much outside of the home, and selflessly gave her life to taking care of her loving husband. She was Caesar’s 24 hour Caregiver. Paula has experienced a lot of loss over the years. First, her sweet daughter Melissa at a young age, her sister Lana just last year, and now Caesar. This is heartbreaking to think about as Paula begins to pick up the pieces of what her life is going to look like now.
