Hugh Joesph Cahill of New Providence, NJ, passed away suddenly on March 7th, 2024.

Hugh has resided in New Providence for over 21 years, raising his beloved family here. Hugh had a strong passion for helping others through his community service and volunteerism.

Hugh was a pillar of strength, constantly helping others. In 2007, he joined the New Providence Fire Department, where he dedicated 17 years as a volunteer firefighter. He enjoyed actively participating in firehouse events and acted as a mentor to his fellow firefighters, never failing to offer support and guidance. His hard work and devotion he showed was a hallmark of his service, leaving an enduring impact on those fortunate enough to have known him.

His journey in life was marked by his motivation, determination and unwavering commitment to anything that crossed his path. Hugh’s true legacy lies in the hearts of those he touched and profoundly impacted.

We are asking the community to come together in support of Hugh’s wife Elizabeth, and their children, Caitlin, Hugh Liam, and Sarah Cahill. All donations will be used towards the children's continued education.
