'Cailíní' in the Lyric Theatre Belfast
Donation protected
The creative team behind Cailíní are delighted to announce our programming in the Lyric Theatre in Belfast from May 2nd-5th 2024 as part of their new season of work.
ABOUT THE PLAY
Originally presented in the Samuel Beckett Theatre in November 2023, Cailíní, created by Beth Strahan and Íde Simpson, and produced alongside Megan Doherty is a play about sisterhood.
'Five sisters return to the family home at the behest of eldest sister Úna with news that Dad is sick.
Over the course of the evening, truths that the sisters would rather withhold from eachother begin to spill out as they share childhood memories and clearly struggle to interact as adults.
And Dad has still yet to make an appearance….'
DONATING TO OUR SHOW
By donating to this show, you are not only supporting young Northern Irish and Irish artists in bringing new theatre to Irish stages, but are funding a piece which we hope to only continue to bring further in the future.
Every donation is very, very, greatly appreciated.
This play is a play for sisters, for families, for displaced individuals, for Irish people, non-Irish people, and anyone who knows or has known what it feels like to be tested by those you love.
