Caine Dreamwalker

Caine’s friends are helping to support him in a time of financial need. Caine is facing a long recovery and many unknown factors stemming from long haul Covid.

He is currently in the hospital because of these complications. While he is going home today (5/20/23) his doctor says he has a long road ahead of him. Diagnostic testing and worsening symptoms have made it impossible for Caine to work at his previous level. Just months ago he was a fit, health conscious, massage therapist and now he has many days where the slightest exertion leaves him very ill and disabled.

Currently his doctors are operating with a tentative diagnosis of Dysautonomia.

“Dysautonomia is an umbrella term used to describe several different medical conditions that cause a malfunction of the Autonomic Nervous System. The Autonomic Nervous System controls the "automatic" functions of the body that we do not consciously think about, such as heart rate, blood pressure, digestion, dilation and constriction of the pupils of the eye, kidney function, and temperature control. People living with various forms of dysautonomia have trouble regulating these systems, which can result in lightheadedness, fainting, unstable blood pressure, abnormal heart rates, malnutrition, and in severe cases, death.”

Caine is currently experiencing many of the cardiovascular symptoms including tachycardia and extreme fatigue with dizziness. The disregulation of his cardiovascular system means something as simple as standing for 10 minutes is almost impossible for him. As well as unstable blood pressure.

Caine is known for giving his all to his community. He is the one who needs a bit of help this time round. Donations will go to covering living expenses for himself and his family as well as ancillary support with medical appointments and treatments.
