Caine Family (Tim Caine)

Hello all, I'll get straight to the point for you. That lovely mug is Timmy Caine and if you're seeing this you likely know him or his lovely wife Sarah, or our family, somehow.

8/13: 645AM Tim Caine was involved in a hit and run accident on the motorcycle on his way home from dropping Eli (one of his 2 sons) off at football practice. A Small silver suv cut him off attempting to U-turn across 4 lanes. Tim had no choice but to lock up both brakes on the bike to avoid a head on collision, which threw him from the bike. 

Tim has a broken clavicle (collar bone), scapula (shoulder), and every single rib on the right side of his body. He also has a lacerated lung, and a tube to drain the fluid build up. So far we know he'll be out of the game for the next several weeks. Hes still in ICU and overall injuries are still being discovered. 

Tim was very recently laid off from his job, and now will be out healing for quite some time, in addition to any medical bills while the police look for the person who hit Tim.

I've set up this fund in case anyone has the means to assist so Sarah and the boys can focus on helping Tim heal for the next several weeks and not worry about where the bills will come from and the growing medical bills. 8/14:  Tim is still in ICU, awake... But medicated most of the time. They did put a chest tube in because his right lung had some blood and was starting to collapse. He has surgery today sometime to repair his shoulder (his WHOLE clavicle was broken through his shoulder) and then he will stay at the hospital until they can be sure that his ribs won't begin to float (caused by multiple breaks). If they do they will be putting plates in to help his ribs heal as well. 

He was wearing his "shorty helmet" and even though many times we call it a "brain bucket".... It saved his life. The only head injury he has is minor road rash after the helmet broke off when he hit. Although his recovery may take a bit of time and we still are unsure of procedures to come. Tim was recently laid off from his job and was actively looking for work, and this accident has put that whole process to a stop for the foreseeable future as well as the medical costs will all fall on us until this person is located. We appreciate any help anyone can offer, but if you can't help with monetary donations we completely understand! This is a crazy world and kindness in ANY form we are more than thankful for.

8/15: Per Sarah: Really quick update! Tim's surgery was cancelled... They have done a few more X-rays on his shoulder/lung and we are thinking the breaks are clean enough that no surgery will be needed! Longer recovery, but not surgery is great news! still have to review his latest X-rays to be sure. 

Thank you so much to everyone who has called, messaged and reached out. I also have no words and no way to thank you all for donating to help us out. I'm so wrapped up with being at the hospital and I cannot explain how much your support has helped Tim focus on getting better and stress less about how our house will continue with him out of commission. Thank you all. So much. I thought I was cried out yesterday, but the relief cry is a whole different tear duct I guess.

You are all amazing, and Tim has commented multiple times that he never realized how many people care for him. So thank you all for the love and words, it is helping him work hard to keep getting better!
