Cairo Elijah Vega Preemie Care

Cairo Elijah Vega came to us early at 27 weeks only weighing in at 1 pound 6 ounces strong. The second son to Gabby and Kevin Vega of Salina, KS, Cairo just couldn’t wait to join the fun.  

We are blessed to have a supportive family but the time off work, travel to and from the hospital over an hour each way, and of course the medical expense associated with the care of a preemie would be over whelming for anyone. 

Our family continues to be as supportive as we can from near and far but are looking for the kindness of friends and neighbors to make it a little easier to relieve some of the pressure off of Gabby and Kevin so that they can be present for the ‘round the clock care of Cairo.
