King Cai's 12th Birthday

Our darling angel will be 12 on the 24th June. Lots of our family and friends have asked what we would like for Cai's birthday.

We wanted to be able to give something back to children like Cai when they are in hospital. I have set up a fundraising page for Noah's Ark Childrens hospital. Instead of buying Cai memorial gifts, it would be amazing to buy toys for the children's hospital in memory of Cai. Over the years, the hospital become our second home. I always use to find myself not only taking Cai and all his medical stuff but a suitcase full of toys to keep him entertained. Unfortunately the hospital never had many resources for children with additional needs. Cai couldn't play with toys like other children. He needed specialist buttons that he was able to press and play with a toy. He also loved the radio but the hospital only have a few so you'd be taking it in turns. There are not many sets of bells and sensory items. The hospital rely heavily on donations but typically these are normal toys and they have very limited funds to buy specialist toys and it doesn't help they are so much more expensive. A normal version of a toy could cost £10 but a switch adapted version would cost £30. Then you need the button to operate it which start from around £30. To be able to give something back in Cai's memory and bring enjoyment to so many children would be lovely and I know Cai would be super happy that we could provide specialist toys in his memory and bring so much joy to others, whilst they are poorly in hospital.
