Caitlin Jensen's Medical Expenses

Donation protected
Your donations have helped Caitlin in so many ways to further her rehabilitation journey and pay for therapy beyond what insurance has provided. Your help has been very appreciated and helpful for her improving!
Thank you so much!
The funds have provided for needed medical supplies while they are waiting for approval for Medicare which should hopefully come by the end of this year. Who knew it would take 2 1/2 years to qualify!!!
This is why your support has been so important to them.
(written by Caitlin’s grandmother) Thank you!!

Caitlin Jensen graduated from Georgia Southern University this May with a degree in Chemistry and Biology, ready to live the American dream. She was excited about all the career opportunities and possibilities on her horizon. She had already spent one year working at the Sitka Science Center in Alaska and loved it and was looking forward to more challenging things ahead.

Then on Thursday, June 16, 2022, Caitlin Jensen went to the chiropractor for lower back pain. Immediately after adjusting her neck, Caitlin became ill and was rushed to the ER by ambulance directly from the chiropractor's office.

Once there, tests revealed she suffered a brain bleed. The stroke led to cardiac arrest and loss of pulse for over 10 minutes, after which she was revived.
Once the doctors could stabilize Caitlin, she was rushed to surgery, where they were shocked to learn that 4 arteries had been dissected. They were able to repair some tears and placed a stent in one artery.

Caitlin now lies in the neuro ICU in Memorial Hospital in Savannah, GA. A month later she is still in critical condition, and this trauma has resulted in a traumatic brain injury. Caitlin is currently conscious and able to respond to verbal commands by blinking her eyes and giving a thumbs up or down, which her brother recently taught her to do.
She has only very slight movenment on her left side, and the rest of her body sits in a state of paralysis due to the injury. Caitlin is a strong girl but has a long road to recovery. As a college student with a very basic health care plan, she will need significant financial resources to get her through this road to recovery and changes that will need to be made once she goes home. It is the family's hope for Caitlin to transfer to the Shepherd Center in Atlanta for extensive rehabilitation.

We ask that you please flood Caitlin with your prayers and positive energy and consider donating to this cause. We thank you very much!
