Caitlin O’Neill

On February 19, 2024, what we thought was a normal day turned out to be one of the worst days of our lives. Caitlin Elaine O’Neill passed away Monday February 19th after collapsing on a run in her apartment complex. Caitlin is a Physician Assistant Student at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. While we are not sure what specifically caused her to collapse, we know that after being rushed to the hospital, Caitlin passed surrounded by her friends and family, and left with no pain. She lived life to her fullest every day and always had a smile on her face. Even in the challenge of PA school, she always saw the light in her challenges. In addition, she was always the person to make plans and do activities that were outside of our studies. Caitlin’s presence was one that always lit up a room and her personality was infectious. She was intelligent, hard working, and incredibly caring. While she is not here physically, we know that she is looking down on us and has inspired many of us to be the best version of ourselves. Caitlin had hopes of moving to Boston after graduating and working in either the OBGYN or Geriatric population. Not only was she an excellent and smart student, but she was always an advocate for both herself and others.
