Hope For Caitlin

My beautiful niece Caitlin Loeser who just turned 18 last month was diagnosed in early August with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma. ACC (Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma) is a rare and unique form of cancer. It has a typical growth pattern of being slow and gradual, but over time can be progressive and unpredictable. Caitlin has already had two surgeries to remove a tumor from her neck and is currently receiving Proton Radiation treatment.
Caitlin’s cancer has metastasized to both her lungs. This rare cancer is resistant to chemotherapy. We are hopeful that in time as research progresses new drugs become available to treat her lungs. Unfortunately even with health insurance the Proton radiation treatment is not fully covered. Due to treatment only being available out of state the family has incurred additional living expenses resulting in financial hardship.
Caitlin just graduated high school this past June and was about to begin college. She is now faced with a life changing battle. Please come together and help our family through this difficult journey.
