Hello! We are a team of 11 Cal Poly Industrial Technology students and have been dubbed "the fellas" due to our jovial nature and enthusiasm! "The fellas" are currently in the process of completing our senior capstone project. We have been tasked with manufacturing 80-100 metal light fixtures this spring quarter, following a careful analysis of market needs we have decided to focus on developing an intricate balance between aesthetics and utility. Specifically we will be developing a moveable, rechargable, and aesthetically sculpted outdoor light. We have high ambitions and know that we have the necessary skills, talent, chemistry, and determination to manufacture 100 products successfully; however, we need your help! About the product:
We are engineering a fully modular metal outdoor lighting solution which comes with a variety of features such as adjustable brightness, moveability, and customizable colors. The product features a smooth wooden handle which contours perfectly with the shape of the fixture which provides both ease of use and is aesthetically pleasing. The product is mounted on a metal base in which a wire is intricately fed into the wooden end cap where our battery is encased. Our hand frosted glass container houses the light and beautiful metal frame are designed through Cal Poly machinery and reverence for our Cal Poly Learn By Doing Curriculum.
