Calabasas Cemetery Restoration Project
Donation protected
Calabasas Cemetery is an abandoned cemetery established in 1756. Many have been buried here, from missionaries to Union Soldiers, to local residents. It was completely overgrown for decades until I started cleaning it in 2015. Being a veteran, I dedicated myself to cleaning the resting place of my fallen brothers, as well as everyone else buried here. With the help of dedicated community volunteers, we have made tremendous progress. In the years of my project I have funded it myself with the tools from my shed...and I would like to give the opportunity for others to join me in my restoration project of an abandoned historic site.
100% of any funds collected will be used to furnish tools, equipment, supplies, and related expenses. I am proud of the work I have done, and will continue to do with whatever I have available to me.
Thank you to all who decide to join in restoring a historic site.
