CALDY GOLF CLUB for CALDAY POOL - Golf & Cycle Adventure

Having been chosen as Captain of Caldy Golf Club for 2024 I wanted to nominate a local community project as my charity for the year and have selected CALDAY POOL.

Run by local volunteers and pool users since 1996, when the council did not renew it's lease, the pool has continued to enable thousands of young children to learn to swim, a much needed skill in our seaside environment. Two of those children being my own.

The pool is raising funds for a purpose built entrance and changing facility for those with mobility issues.

Andy Cockram, a fellow member of Caldy Golf club, although perhaps better known as the landlord of the White Lion and Irby Mill, is joining me on an endeavour to raise much needed funds.

On Monday June 17th we will be attempting to play 3 rounds of golf and cycle > 50 miles.

We will be playing Conwy Golf course, cycling to Prestatyn and playing Prestatyn Golf Course before cycling back to Caldy and playing our final round of golf.
