My name is Charlene Wijesekera and I have set up this page with the help of my daughter Chantel Wijesekera after the tragic death of my brother Caleb Alexander.
There has been much speculation around my brothers death that was initially ruled as a suicide after he fell from a 7th floor apartment balcony while he was visiting Sri Lanka. We suspect that his death was a result of manslaughter. I have copied a few articles below for your reference.
Our family is absolutely devastated by the death of our youngest sibling Caleb who was a humanitarian, helping many of those in need around the world. He sent my daughter a message a few weeks before his passing with a picture of his bags packed and ready for his next trip to Uganda to help the orphans there, and expressing his excitement to see them.
He was planning on going to Uganda to see what they needed and then hoped to raise funds to help them. I have copied his view when it came to helping the orphans in his worlds below for your reference.
‘My vision is to take the orphan care to the next level, to set a benchmark, high standard of care so others can follow. The orphans are beautiful children, who desperately need love and care, though I am not a dad I do think of the orphans that I take as my own. They deserve more than the crumbs that fall off the table.’
As a family, we hope to keep his memory alive by doing what Caleb dedicated his life to - helping those in need. We hope to raise funds to complete the orphanage, and carry out his vision.
If there is anyway you could help us do this by donating, we would be eternally grateful. No donation is too small and every donation helps. Thank you ❤️
