Caleb’s brain cancer battle

Hi, we are the parents of Caleb Means Shemwell and we are grateful in advance for your consideration of contributing funds to cover associated medical and burial costs, as well as bereavement time for the family. He is currently batting DIPG, a terminal and aggressive form of pediatric brain cancer. He was diagnosed in November 2022. The general prognosis is under 2 years for 90% of kids and a very few rare living past 5 years. We are thankful each day that he is still with us, understanding his days are limited. On April 9th, we found that Caleb's tumors have spread all throughout his brain and we are now in the final weeks/ months of his life.

Caleb is the youngest of 11 children and grabs anyone’s attention in a room with his sweet smile, witty jokes, sassy dance moves, and generous hugs to everyone he meets. He faces his cancer battle with tender courage and finds strength from his siblings who love him more than anything and from his biological father’s story, who passed away from brain cancer a few months before Caleb was born.
