Caleb's Eagle Scout Project -- Poisonous Plants
Donation protected
UPDATE 6/4: Thank you for the incredible support! Your donations allowed me to purchase posterboards for my presentation, apply for official registration with the US Copyright Office, and print 500 copies of my book. I appreciate everyone who attended my presentation, where I distributed many of these copies. For anyone who would like more, they are available free of charge at Summerhaven businesses and the Palisades Ranger Station while supplies last.
My name is Caleb Rasor. For my Eagle Project, with the help of Troop 294, I am publishing a field guide and creating a community presentation on the poisonous plants and fungi of the Catalina Mountains! For years, I have been fascinated by the flora and fauna of Mt. Lemmon. Although there are excellent resources about the area’s biodiversity, I discovered that there was no guide to its poisonous vegetation. Both residents and visitors will regularly encounter these species on trails, roads, and properties without knowing their dangers.
Donations will fund the printing of the field guide on these toxic inhabitants that will be given for free to the community. I’m honored to be able to serve Mt. Lemmon through this passion of mine, and I appreciate all your support!
