Caledon Rovers Youth Sponsored Cycle and Walk

On Saturday the 25th of June 2022, a number of coaches and parents plan to undertake some sponsored events with the goal of fundraising towards the purchase of a child specific automated defibrillator and appropriate training.

 

The plan is to undertake a 100 mile cycle and 10k walk.

 

As a club, the safeguarding of children is paramount to us and we want to be prepared for any / all situations.

 

In the UK, it is suggested that around 30,000 people suffer sudden cardiac arrest outside of hospital. This being further highlighted to the footballing world by the incident with Christian Eriksen at last summers Euros.

 

The use of a defibrillator is found to increase survival rates if used within 3-5 minutes.

 

Any support with this fundraiser will be much appreciated in our attempts at better equipping the club.
