Support Exiled Swimmer in Completing the CA Triple Crown

Donation protected
I have proudly represented my country on many occasions. But it has not been easy. Being an athlete in Colombia is a very lonely existence. We receive little to no support from the government and it is up to us to raise the funds to fulfill our dreams and represent our country.

In Colombia we have become accustomed to the fact that athletes do not have a political voice, however I do not accept this idea because before being an athlete, I am a citizen. For speaking out against what was happening in Colombia in 2019, I lost my sponsors, and was forced to leave the country after I was beaten and threatened with death. Since then, I am still exiled in California and still fighting to fulfill my dream of achieving the California Triple Crown of Marathon Swimming.

I completed the first two California crowns by swimming the Catalina Channel in 10 hours and 19 minutes and Lake Tahoe in 11 hours and 10 minutes. And now in August, I will begin a new feat for Latin American sports, and hopefully complete the triple crown, by crossing the Santa Barbara Channel, which is located between continental Southern California and the four northern Channel Islands.

I have been away from my loved ones for three years. But even now, in these difficult circumstances, I continue to dream with more energy than ever, and I want to invite you to dream with me. With your contribution, I will be able to cover the travel expenses for my swimming challenges, and become the first Latin American man to complete the California Triple Crown of Marathon Swimming.
